TORONTO—An appreciative crowd packed the Capitol Event Theatre here for the 8th Annual Feminist Porn Awards, honoring numerous celebrities featured on Porn Valley Observed as well as people we’ve yet to have the pleasure to know.
Julie Simone won Indie Icon, Paul Thomas was feted with Steamiest Straight Movie (for “Friends with Benefits”), and heartthrob Jiz Lee was honored with Heartthrob, as was only right.
Toronto’s Good For Her was the founding sponsor of the awards, which have grown each year, requiring larger venues, more organization, and numerous attendant events, including a keynote about Erotophobes by Dr. Carol Queen, a screening, a queerporn play party, and a symposium at Toronto University.
