He implies that watching Hungarian hookers being ass-serviced and then ass-servicing international porn ambassador Steve Holmes is as common as philately and numismatics. Yes, he implies those very things by calling his movie Perverted Planet. Philately.
But it’s not so dire. It turns out the m0vie is shot entirely in the gray city of Budapest, with hookers traveling from other European capitals – probably by modern trains – to perform on a couch in a walk-up apartment. What we at first thought of as a global crisis is in fact very local. There are only pockets of perversion. It’s not like people are fisting in the street. Not yet, anyway.
But Iron persists in telling us that there is a universality of hookers.
In fact, when performer Joe Blow introduces a scene he is about to undertake with Angela Winters, a scrolling caption tells us that Angela Winter flaked, so Lulu Martinez stepped in, and to just take what Blow is saying about Angela and apply it to Lulu. “All these euro chicks are interchangeable, so he’s better off anyway” the caption reads. Iron kept Blow’s intro because the Danube was behind it.
Like Gordon Lightfoot, the Canadian Iron says that if we could read his mind, Love, what a tale his thoughts would tell. Does he think that we will all become Hungarian prostitutes, and in so doing that none of us will be Hungarian prostitutes?
