As if it hasn’t made enough money, Pirates has spawned a sequel, the teaser of which will be shown at AEE this week in the Digital Playground booth.
More exciting to fans of vagueness, however, is the Pirates II poster, which combines elements of Batman, The Lord of the Rings‘ Mouth of Sauron and the mothership scene in Close Encounters, all boiling down to a definitive statement of What Sexy Is.
It also employs the hooded figure motif that made Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut the jerkoff sensation it was.
But what the Pirates II ad really looks like is The Exorcist. Here’s an idea: if it’s a porn movie, how about you put a girl on the poster?
