XBiz has nominated one of my employers, Fleshbot, as Best Blog for 2005. Since part of GramPonante.com is syndicated on XBiz, for them to nominate my own blog might be construed as nepotism, and would shake the very foundations of trust that root our industry.

Strangely enough, I learned about the XBiz Awards on AVN which, when Pirates was being hyped, had for several years (it seemed) an endless video loop of (my) Teagan saying, “Hi, Sexy.”
“If I hear Teagan calling me sexy again,” a colleague said, “I’m going to kill someone.”
Amid Mike-Southian rumors that AVN and XBiz were merging or otherwise entering into some alliance, I went over to visit XBiz and saw that they, too, now have a video playing on their home page. The video depicts the host of the XBiz awards, wearing sunglasses, standing in front of the Hollywood sign, with a Jerry Bruckheimer-style soundtrack behind him. He ends by saying, “Peace.”
It’s exciting when things begin to look exactly alike because decisions become so much easier.
