I hear about the attention gap for male performers all the time. Some have an “It is what it is” attitude and others genuinely feel depressed that their contributions are overlooked. I think Stone might be the closest the male side this era comes to a Sasha Grey-esque crossover star.
I don’t know recognize a good number of these guys (at least, ah, their names), but I can assume they’re miles ahead of the mooks that generally “star” in the more cringe-inducing misogynistic shit on the web-based sites. I know Mark Davis makes most of his living slapping around punk rock girls up here in SF these days, but still.
