Fleshbot to drop loads of appreciation on male performers

Recently I visited a porn set in which a male performer needed a full 30 minutes of furious masturbating to finally drape a ropy volley on the hard but yielding sponginess of Bree Olson. Bree Olson. Even at my advanced age (I am now 23), that would take all of 45 seconds and an awkward apology.

It follows that a male performer can make or break a scene, and even the bitchiest, most ornery shrew needs only to arch her back slightly and she has earned her fee for the day (not that Ms. Olson is a shrew; far from it—I’m just saying she could get away with it if she wanted to).

But where is the renown, Lexus lease, Amazon wishlist, and failed reality show prospect for the male performer? Nowhere, even though he works damn hard for his money.

That is why Fleshbot editor Lux Alptraum devised an ingenious campaign to deliver fans’ Thank You notes to a slew of male performers at the upcoming Adult Entertainment Expo in January.

“The inspiration came from my realization that I so very rarely talk to male performers when I’m at AEE,” Alptraum said. “Because the girls are literally and figuratively the stars of the show, they often suck up a lot of my time and attention, leaving their male costars largely ignored.”

Fleshbot (for whom I have been Senior Erotic Consultant for five years) will be delivering cards to dozens of male performers who would otherwise only be receiving listless blowjobs from blackjack dealers at the Flamingo.

Performers to receive an appreciation bailout include Tom Byron, Sean Michaels, Mr. Marcus, James Deen, Mick Blue, Evan Stone, Tommy Gunn, Wolf Hudson, Keni Styles, Anthony Rosano, Christian XXX, Derrick Pierce, Lexington Steele, Dane Cross, Tommy Pistol, Erik Everhard, Steve Holmes, Shane Diesel, Manuel Ferrara, Marco Banderas, Rocco Siffredi, Rocco Reed, Nick Manning, Brian Street Team, Mr. Pete, Johnny Sins, Danny Wylde, Patrick J. Knight, Tony DeSergio, Jazz Duro, Olivier Sanchez, Marc Davis, Ron Jeremy, Marcus London, Barrett Blade, and Tyler Knight.

Here is an interview with Marc Davis about his role in the Private movie “An Open Invitation” that touches on the male performer’s plight:

I hear about the attention gap for male performers all the time. Some have an “It is what it is” attitude and others genuinely feel depressed that their contributions are overlooked. While others have been known to violently overcompensate for the lack of respect they feel, most keep the very intriguing job of being a male porn performer in perspective (such as Marco Banderas, above, seen with Tatiana Kush).

  1. Deen’s twitter might be funnier than thesulk’s…not sure if it’s always (or ever) intentionally so, but regardless, dude rules.

I think Stone might be the closest the male side this era comes to a Sasha Grey-esque crossover star.

I don’t know recognize a good number of these guys (at least, ah, their names), but I can assume they’re miles ahead of the mooks that generally “star” in the more cringe-inducing misogynistic shit on the web-based sites. I know Mark Davis makes most of his living slapping around punk rock girls up here in SF these days, but still.

Anyway, this makes me wonder whatever happened to dudes like Jerry Butler, Mike Horner, Alex Sanders, dorky Jonathan Morgan…like left-handed pitchers with a decent changeup and no health issues, I always assumed these kinda guys could have work whenever they wanted well into their late 40s.

  2. Oh man, according to iafd, Morgan is still around and in fact got to have sex with Bobbi Starr just this year.

    Life is so unfair…

  3. Clever Title of the Week Award goes to this post.

Also, I seriously thinking about writing James Deen a thank you note. He makes me want to be male talent when I grow up.

  4. Big fan of Johnny Sins. He’s definitely one guy that seems to be underrated and overlooked. He’s the complete package and should definitely get more attention and recognition.
