I wondered when I went to the set of the 2009 parody “This Ain’t Saved By the Bell XXX” if any of the cast had seen the original show. Director Axel Braun had, but only in its dubbed Italian version, “Bayside High.”
Then I wondered what had happened to Ashlyn Rae, just 19 at the time, seen here with photographer Marc Star.
Turns out Rae made at least 81 movies between 2009 and 2012, but after that her trail goes cold. The last of her Twitter messages, dated 28 February of this year, reads “Wondering how my fans are,” and the account links to ClubAshlynRae, one of those mass-produced pornstar clearinghouse sites that the stars have nothing to do with and that feature headlines like “Ashlyn Rae Slips Her Fildo [sic] In To [sic] Her Tight Snatch!” and photos from 2009.
Could it be Ashlyn Rae has left porn without telling us?
Fact is, it’s tough finding much information about her without getting creepy about it, and that’s just fine. It is comforting to know that porn—like porn parodies—has reached a point at which any given person one encounters may or may not have been a porn performer at some point, but who cares?
You’re right. Maybe the NSA cares.
But what I’m saying is: in the same way that I completely forgot going to the set of this movie four years ago, perhaps people can leave porn without the stigma of it following them around; even if pictures never die, the overwhelming amount of competing images might dilute the pool sufficient to have a scandal-free life after porn.
That is also what I’m hoping for these fellatio dogs, who have given so much and just need a rest.
