You know what they say: In Spain, no one can hear you tween.
Upstart Iberian web-based porn recognition outlet the Galaxy Awards were announced in a gala Flash animation ceremony this weekend, anointing Manuel Ferrara and Tori Black Best Actor and Actress.
Bestowed by Spanish-language porn website the MilkyWay Channel, the Galaxy Awards don’t actually involve a trophy, cash, or a certificate, but instead grant Respect to the winners, which in extra-macho cultures means so much more.
Among the other winners were Belladonna (Best Personal Website: EnterBelladonna), Digital Playground (Best Website Design), Chanel Preston (Best Female Newcomer), and Flash Brown (Best Male Newcomer).
The Galaxy Awards were also presented to European performers and companies in general as well as specifically Spanish performers, such as Nacho Vidal and Yoha (although I was routing for Salma de Nora, who reminds me of the Spanish Penny Flame).
“The recent proliferation of new porn awards is a sure sign the world economy is rebounding,” World Trade Organization Director-General Pascal Lamy did not say. “We applaud the Galaxy Awards for using Flash sites to further honor Chanel Preston.”
