drake is throughout a calm guide, and her words are informative (“the vulva is everything you can see,” she says, correcting my long-held belief that the vulva is everything I think about), but it is hard (ahem) to watch Labeau examining herself and not think this guide is aimed straight at men.
Oh well. We’ll play your little game, drake.
But what is undeniably refreshing for people used to watching porn’s version of masturbation is the testimonials of Labeau, Julia Ann, and Misty Stone.
Labeau still throws in a porny giggle here and there, but Julia Ann and Stone come across as dead serious: Stone relates masturbating with her stuffed animals the first time, whereas Julia Ann had a relationship with her tub faucet. Stone says she masturbates up to 14 times per week and can come in 30 seconds (“because I know my body,” she says), but Julia Ann’s quickest time is eight minutes and she says that sometimes she goes a week without bringing herself off.

The clothed interviews are generous, and there is no “Hey Big Boy” mugging for the camera. Then, each of the three women, in their own time, retreat to the very same chair and masturbate the way they see fit.
drake stresses that each woman is different, and the interviews bear this out, but I would like to have seen Stone bust out the stuffed animals or Julia Ann head on over to the tub.
Still, I believed what I was seeing, even if the majority of non-porn women in America aren’t as exquisitely shaved as Lily Labeau and Julia Ann.
Contrast this with how we experience women’s masturbatory habits in porn and—come to think of it—these testimonials are just as helpful to men.
