Ava Rose at home in 2008
I visited Ava Rose at her former Silverlake home four years ago this month and snapped several shots of one of my favorite pinup pornstars out of makeup, on the toilet, with her sister, Mia, and with her dog.
I’ve been revisiting these pictures on this site for years, if for no other reason than the fact that the pictures were taken in natural light and that Rose out of makeup looks so much different from her gussied-up self, but no less lovely.
But I’d forgotten this picture, which I believe underlines the fact that, just because we can be proficient with the tools of our trade, we don’t have to like them.
