It happens all the time: I will look past the extra porny parts of a much-loved performer (in this case, Kagney Linn Karter in December, 2009) and see the ever-changing landscape of Porn Valley. Or I will say, “I can’t wait until it gets cold again.”
I was interviewing the KLK for my Best of 2009 series and we were standing on her balcony when she decided to help out some construction workers. I drove by the other day and that building is built now, now doubt due to the stimulus provided by Karter’s weapons-grade breasts.
Of course, Los Angeles is not like Las Vegas, where that building would have been built, torn down, and replaced with a Terrible Herbst gas station by now.
At that time, the KLK had just entered porn after a successful run as a Deja Vu Showgirl and, as you can see, she was bright-eyed and enthusiastic. She is still every bit as buoyant, if a little more wary. She is now burdened with fame, the hopes and dreams of the State of Missouri, and all the cares and breasts of a 24-year-old.
And if I am sometimes overcome with the feeling of Time’s Winged Chariot drawing near, I console myself, as does everyone in Porn Valley, that I am currently sitting in a room filled with naked 19-year-olds who like the way I type.
