Photographer Michael Grecco brought a movie camera along when he was shooting the stills for the coffeetable book “Naked Ambition: An R-Rated Look at an X-Rated Industry.”
Now, just like the Disneyland ride “Pirates of the Caribbean” became a movie and then a porno – “Naked Ambition” the book is now a movie about the making of the book!
As Grandmother Ponante used to say, “Always bring alternative recording media so that you can leverage your content.”
The spiel is that all this footage was shot over three days in Las Vegas during the AVN convention, which becomes Porn Valley East for several magical days each January. “I knew I had to take on this world as a photographic project!” Grecco says.
“Naked Ambition” (not to be confused with Carly Milne’s 2005 book of the same name) opens nationwide on May 1.
