“Pron” is Disney’s biggest porn parody since “Pirates”

What does it say about porn’s utter dominance of American culture that I have neither seen the original “Tron” nor its 2010 sequel but I will very likely see Goodnight Media’s “Pron: The XXX Parody”?

No idea? What? You think that’s a faulty premise meant to distract the reader from my own poor consumption of American culture?

Could be. But have you noticed how disappointing something can be that has been so effectively hyped? Like “Tron Legacy”? Isn’t it nice to have a simple porn movie that makes no pretensions about its John Pertwee-era “Doctor Who” effects—even celebrates them— but also manages to comment on itself AND have the pornic talents of Andy San Dimas, Diamond Foxxx, Zoe Voss, Lexi Belle, and April O’Neill?

For readers over 50, “Pron” is the term kids these days use to ironically comment on online porn, using its most common misspelling and the term that less-rigid firewalls won’t block. That Anthony Rosano’s character scoffs at the idea of using computers for communication, that Zoe Voss’s glamazon uses a trendy rotary phone, and that the Masturbation Control Program (MBP) is a parody of all omniscient and evil computers (“I am the great MBP. I know all. I experience all. And I know what brought you here. All”) are good examples of how porn parodies can shed a little light on culture while simultaneously spotlighting Lexi Belle’s vagina.

“Pron” director Lee Roy Myers and I recently traveled to Disneyland to uncover other potential porn parodies lying dormant in the Happiest Place on Earth.

  1. “Mr. Load’s Wild Ride” starring Nick Manning is clearly a winner.

Also, as for the “Camelot” thing… since Disney did the movie “The Sword in the Stone,” why not something along the lines of “The Whore and the Bone” (or “The Whore and DaBone,” starring Dale DaBone, of course).

*shudders at the thought I just had of a musical porn spoof, “Cumalot”*
