Notable events this week:
Whatever your thoughts on Octo-Mom Nadya Suleman, I was struck by how much she sounded like certain porn performers I know when she said that her eventual masters degree would pay for the care and feeding of her 14 kids.
In fact, Suleman is being treated worse than a porn star; where most adult performers can at least feel safe assuming that the people tearing them down might also be a little jealous, Suleman is being handled with all the derision and condescension that mainstream media heaps on porn performers but with none of the off-camera “so what’s Gram Ponante really like?” curiosity.
Suleman’s voice and the things she says with it are very similar to those of a woman I wrote about on this space a few weeks ago.
