Jamye Waxman’s performance salon wipes up Masturbation Month on May 31
LOS ANGELES —Sexy Tales and Other Intimate Acts, a monthly erotic revue hosted by sex educator and Playboy TV personality Jamye Waxman, returns to Los Angeles Tuesday, May 31.
This month’s Sexy Tales, in residence at Sunset Blvd.’s speakeasy Bronson Bar, features a reading by sex store pioneer Kim Airs of the movie “Orgasm Inc.,” Sex Nerd Sandra, the way-out sounds of house band Fogelfoot, and Vibratex toy giveaways, among other intimate acts.
“Sexy Tales brings a Burning Man community-building and performance vibe to make Masturbation Month even more appealing,” says Waxman. “See? I said ‘vibe.'”
An irreverent and entertaining salon, hosted by the always-exuberant Waxman, Sexy Tales promises to dazzle you with its wide range of sensual talent. This month’s show also features the trippy DJ Hobotech, Puppet MILF The Countess, Jamila Dawson’s BBW Bondage, a conversation with masturbation documentarian Nicola Tana, and Rena Strober’s performance of her song “8-Mile-Wide Vagina.” And it’s all interwoven, as always, with sex advice by Waxman herself.
“I want people to expand their thinking around what is sexy and where sex has to come from,” explains Waxman. “Sure, there’s adult entertainment that’s hot, but there are also a lot of other ways to explore eroticism and passion. That’s what I intend to do here.”
Sexy Tales & Other Intimate Acts takes place on 5.31.11. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., show starts at 8. Tickets are $5 at the door.
