Even as she frets about her upcoming cop assignment (“if I ace this, I can have my own division,” she says) rookie Jane Hoyt (Chanel Preston) still has the time to give Tom Byron a blowjob at 5 in the morning. It is that selfless nature that makes her such easy prey for corrupt cop Alison Harris (Nyomi Banxxx, acting up a storm).
“Training Day XXX” is a “dark” parody of the Denzel Washington/Ethan Hawke vehicle about a day in the life of the Worst LAPD Officer Ever and the rookie who must tag along. Banxxx plays Denzel’s part here, and she is a tornado, spitting out Badass Line after Badass Line, even if some of them don’t make all that much sense.
“You know when they say when you kill somebody on duty they become your slave in the afterlife?”
No. And who, exactly, are “They”?
There is no angle that Harris isn’t playing, whether it’s setting up lovers for drug deals, planting evidence, or upending poor Officer Hoyt’s starry-eyed dreams of community policing. From one end of the film to the other, Harris is an above-the-law menace.
“Training Day XXX” is an ambitious and interesting film but it doesn’t always hit the marks it wants to.
The acting of Banxxx and Tommy Gunn is really in the zone, but there are times when we lose much of the dialogue because of poor miking. There is a scene in which Chanel Preston is clearly not in the room but Banxxx refers to her anyway. And, other than the scene between Gunn and Banxxx, the sex in “Training Day” is even more extraneous than in most porn films (though we like seeing Phoenix Marie and Yurizan Beltran do anything).

The production’s heart is in the right dirty place, though. There is at-gunpoint PCP use, two almost-rapes, and an onscreen murder; you can’t say “Training Day XXX” pulled its punches.
I have always liked Nyomi Banxxx in every scripted work she’s been in, but “Training Day” is her tour de force. Likewise Gunn is as easy and naturalistic as he was in “O: The Power of Seduction.” Their performances are inspired, even if the moviemaking sometimes gets in the way.
But it’s the acting and the earnest effort that makes this movie so compelling; it’s as if director Stone really wanted to make his homage to “Training Day” but with porn actors, and was goaded by the money people into making those porn stars have sex.
