It’s those high-end, ambitious porn movies that ruin it, making people think for a moment that a “parody” isn’t lipstick on a pig. Luckily we now have the delightfully crass “Marcia’s Twat” to remind us where the gutter is.

“The Brady Bunch” has proven to be fertile soil for porn parodists, much as “Romeo And Juliet” can bear tributes from both Leonard Bernstein and Dire Straits and Baz Luhrman and The Indigo Girls. Now in Jim Powers’ “Marcia’s Twat And Other XXX Parodies,” we are gently reassured that porn is, in fact, a cesspool.
I hope to God that this movie cost about $15 to make, because it looks like it. A low production cost would also mean director/producer Jim Powers wouldn’t lose too much money by your not buying it.
In the title scene, Jack Lawrence and the juicy Jessie Andrews, looking like they dumpster-dived the set of Will Ryder’s “Not the Bradys” movies as Mr. Brady and Marcia, fuck. There’s also a laugh track.
The next two scenes parody entertainments I’ve never seen, “Drop Dead Fred” and “The King of Queens.” Lizz Tayler stars in the latter, and I believe she is supposed to be Leah Remini’s character. I do not believe I am derelict in my duty as a porn journalist in not first viewing the source material. In fact, I think I am paying as much attention as these scenes deserved.
Powers ends with a years-old “Shining” scene featuring Little Romeo as Danny Torrance and Dyna-mite and Kate Frost as the Grady Twins. They fuck Romeo and Rick Masters, who plays Jack Torrance.
Of the four scenes, the last is the one that looks like it had the most love put into it. After all, Romeo rides through hallways on a child’s bike; that had to set the production back something.
The only compliment I can give this effort is that everyone knows Jim Powers can do much better.
