You may think that porn stars spend their down-time on a movie set acquiring continuing education credits, getting recertified in CPR, or translating their Bibles back into the original Aramaic and Greek. And, for the most part, this is true. But they also utilize entertainments on the handheld devices that have become popular with the young and trendy.
On the set of Nica Noelle’s “Pretty Woman,” Manuel Ferrara (playing a sad-hearted john), Charley Chase, and Annie Cruz (playing hookers with hearts of gold), gathered around Chase’s iPhone to play Zynga’s “Words with Friends.”
“Everyone thinks I am cheating,” says Ferrara, who is not only tri-lingual in English, French, and Spanish but is also cunnilingual. “But they are very easy words, really.”
“I’m playing with a bunch of people at the same time,” says Chase, whose cleavage you would never find on “Farmville,” another Zynga product.
I was on set because I was playing Ferrara’s best friend, the type of hooker-loving bon vivant everyone wants in his social circle.
Elsewhere, three extras from the hooker bar Ferrara and I frequented watched “Family Guy” on an iPhone propped demurely on 33 percent of their legs.
“Why can’t we just talk to one another?” I said, wiping the greasepaint from my face (I think it was greasepaint). “Why can’t we look up from our screens and into one another’s eyes?”
That said, I have never received a Farmville notification from a porn performer. So that’s something.
