I watched a preview of L.A.-based Cult Epics’ 3-disc collection “American Nudes,” featuring antique porn from the 20s, 30s, and 40s, photo-hobbyist films from Irving Klaw, and early color hardcore loops from the 70s.
Included in the third disc of the collection is the best restoration I’ve seen of “A Free Ride,” thought to be the oldest surviving hardcore movie in existence, and dated between 1915 and 1923.
The first two volumes of “American Nudes” are available at most DVD retailers due to their comparative tameness. But Volume III, since it contains penetration, cumshots, and even urination (in “A Free Ride,” of all places) needs special distribution.
I really enjoyed this collection and will provide a more comprehensive review when all three discs are commercially available.
