I interviewed Sophia Santi at last year’s convention and yesterday and, to my horror, saw that her eyebrows had not changed. In fact, I had absently left my room key on her right eyebrow last year and it was still there when I came back.
The image on the left was taken in 2006. Here Santi appears to be keeping a secret from us. Yesterday’s Santi was more of a world-weary badass.
Santi lives in West Hollywood, far away from the Digital Playground compound. I asked her what effect her 5’9″ness has on the patrons of the French Market Cafe.
“I’m not in West Hollywood much, either,” she said, overscheduled, looking away, ashamed of my love. “I travel when I’m not doing this.”
