“Country Loving” with Haley Paige, but without the ranch dressing

Haley Paige died four years ago August 21, but such is the nature of porn that we can still buy “new” Haley Paige movies (in this case, a DVD release of something that first appeared on late-nite cable). It will never seem normal to me to watch a porn movie starring someone I know to have died.

It’s not like Paige was Elizabeth Taylor or even Mae West; we are not remembering her youth at the end of a long career. Instead, she died—tragically—a few years after making this movie.

But let’s talk about the movie.

Playgirl TV (did you know there was a Playgirl TV?) has reached deep in its archives to compile a series of ranch-themed “Erotic Encounters,” all of them featuring muscular, approachable, glabrous* men submitting to the desires of the women who gaze at them.

Unlike those Romance titles released by New Sensations and Wicked, however, Playgirl’s “Country Loving” displays no ranch dressing across the face, breasts, and neck.

I know what you’re saying: “Grams, then how do we know the men enjoyed themselves?”

This was an odd movie to watch for a couple of reasons. 1.) I don’t really like couples’ porn (nor do any couples I know), and 2.) One of the scenes stars the late Haley Paige.

Paige was a lovely person who met a bad end ifour years ago today. Seeing her in such a scene as this, in which she surprises masturbating ranch-hunk Kris Knight on a bale of hay, seems a much more gentle way to be reminded of this beautiful woman than a recompiled gonzo movie.

And there are worthwhile things in this movie that appeal across the whole porny spectrum. Paige’s “Here, let me help you with that” attitude is tremendously appealing and, while the camera lingers extra long, for obvious reasons, on Mr. Knight, it doesn’t skimp on Paige, either.

Still, it’s a shock to see Paige again without context (not that Playgirl owes us one; I admit it would be a downer to be introduced to Paige’s roll in the hay with an obituary).

Beyond anything, Paige exuded a prettiness that was not conventionally porny, so she is perfect for a scene ostensibly aimed at women. The one fault I find with the scene is that her voiceover climaxes long before either of the actors does:

I have been working at the Hanson Farm for two years. In the mid-morning, I usually came down from the house to check on the farmhands to see if they needed a cold drink or something to eat. Ever since Jake got here, I haven’t been able to focus on my own work.

So one day I decided to indulge myself and watch him in the barn. I could feel myself getting aroused from the sight of his muscles gleaming under his own sweat and his tight firm ass moving inside his jeans. When he took off his shirt, my own temperature began to rise.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Did he know I was still there trembling inside as he stroked himself?

I was burning up inside, dying to feel his big strong hands on me, his hard chiseled body on top of mine.

His skin tasted fresh and dewy like a sun-drenched morning. And I wanted to take him every inch of him. As we both approached an intense climax, I knew I was going to sweat a lot on this job, and it would be Oh, so much better than ever before.

I mean, we don’t even see any kind of climax, and everybody knows you can’t climax from a blowjob unless it’s a blowjob movie, but Paige’s voiceover pronounces their coupling “better than ever before” several minutes before the scene is finished.

Maybe that, too, is something only women know. Could it be that the characters of Jake and the water lady loved each other so much that he didn’t have to prove it by blowing a load on her face?
