Mackenzee Pierce and Jesse Capelli bring nipples back to Jumbo’s Clown Room

Jumbo’s Clown Room is one of the things that makes Los Angeles great. A trashy – but friendly – go-go bar that once employed Courtney Love as a dancer, Jumbo’s is the type of place you can bring your skittish girlfriend so that she can be reassured that your love for her is not compromised by your abiding love for all vaginas.

Q. But Grams, the women wear pasties. What good is that?
A. No good at all if Jumbo’s staff didn’t compensate by serving more alcohol for less money than most other bars in Hollywood. So, unlike other go-go bars with inflated prices and watered-down drinks, Jumbo’s has its priorities in order. Sure I wish it was full nude as well as full alcohol, but I am only Mayor of Porn Valley, not Hollywood.

Here Pierce and Capelli wait for their big scene. (In the background is Keni Styles, Porn’s Just About Only Asian Male Performer. He is from London, so his ancestors are being shamed internationally.) I have never before made it across the room at Jumbo’s to witness actual seating.

Anyway, leave it to porn to provide an opportunity for actual breasts to be bared at Jumbo’s. Mackenzee Pierce and Jesse Capelli were on location shooting a scene from Miss Lucifer’s “Malice in La La Land” that required strippers.

It was the first time I had seen Jumbo’s during the day. It is usually so crowded that it was a surprise to see how small the place is. Nevertheless, the room filled quickly with hangers-on, racetrack sharpies, and hardbitten journalists, adding to the heat generated by the filming lights and the headlights – if you know what I mean LOL!!!!!OMFGKJJFHKUHFKU!!!.

“Do you think people could wait outside,” said Pierce. “We don’t want to put on a free show.”

Now that’s method acting. Pierce, a porn star, was thinking like a stripper, demanding that the assembled sweaty masses all be paying customers.

UPDATE: A clue as to why Pierce is more adamant about the bottom line than your average porn performer.

It was great to see Porn Valley magic turn Jumbo’s into an actual strip club, if just for an afternoon. I emerged into the unfamiliar Hollywood sunlight thinking that the only way the day could have gone better was if they’d been serving drinks.
