Sexualizing your firewall

In the lurking world of the Internet, where the best face we can show the outside is our public unresolved digits, a northern California company has created a site that moans your Internet Protocol address.

Intervis Media dabbles in different projects, its founder says, but “there is a special place in our hearts for Internet security.” CEO Richard Stevenson told me the women moaning IP addresses wish to remain anonymous and aren’t pictured on the website.

For me, the money shot is the “3”.

Stevenson’s company also owns Hear My IP, which features a terse, vaguely menacing dude reading the same numbers. It doesn’t have the same effect, but it gets to the point.
