“HUSTLER Hollywood has saved more marriages than Billy Graham,” said Larry Flynt, commenting on tonight’s tenth anniversary of his flagship store on Sunset Blvd. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. with appearances by Riley Evans (pictured, with cameltoe) and Daisy Marie, who grace Hustler covers in 2009.
It was Flynt’s late wife, Althea, who said that Hustler magazine had saved more marriages than Billy Graham and, though it is doubtful that many of the people who show up tonight to cast shy glances at Daisy and Riley have ever heard of Billy Graham, it is nice that Flynt paid tribute to the love of his life in this heartwarming press release.
In fact, it would be cynical to not only suggest that someone mis-attributed Althea’s quote to Larry but also to conclude that Larry never said such a thing about Hustler Hollywood at all. Cynical, I tell you.
