An ingenious scheme by porn directors-whom-you’d-be-forgiven-for-thinking-are-the-same-person-Axel Braun and Bobby Drake has resulted in both a gay and straight version of “Dracula” using the same sets, effects, and many of the same actors.
believe it or not, there is also a straight “Dracula.” Only in porn!
The dreamy Alan Stafford plays Jonathan Harker, the British accountant sent to Transylvania to settle affairs with the mysterious Count Dracula, in both versions. The directors (we add the plural ironically) use voiceovers and clever editing to make Harker’s randy, hometown lover “Matthew” in the gay version and “Mena” in the straight one.
Then, we cut away from Harker’s voiceover to see just how randy Matthew (Jeremy Bilding) and Mena (Marie McCray) are, in scenes shot on the same set. Ditto Evan Stone as straight Dracula and Ari Sylvio as his gay counterpart.
Just as smart, both movies feature the same scene in which a sweaty, nightmare-tortured Harker writhes in bed. In the straight version, he is soothed by a trio of nymphettes, whom he fucks like a boss. In the gay version, Harker stays in bed and masturbates his night terrors away.
Similarly, John Magnum’s crazy, gay Renfield gets a blowjob through the bars of the same nuthouse cell that Tom Byron’s crazy, straight Renfield did.
Released six months apart, the two “Dracula”s were probably never intended to be watched by the same person.
But I think these four discs (both movies were shot in 3-D and contain both a 2-D and 3-D version of each), comprising a whopping 10-D, makes the best case for what the straight market calls “Couples’ Porn”: that is, the gentleman can watch the Marie McCray-getting-naked version and his girlfriend can watch the Jeremy-Bilding-getting-naked/Alan-Stafford-jerking-off version.
