My pal Hollie Stevens writes a regular column for Girls & Corpses magazine, and she and her cohorts will be in three locations in fabulous downtown Burbank this weekend signing the publication’s 2007 calendar.
“A friend of mine works at (a popular online dating service for Jews). I couldn’t believe how many non-Jews try to scam them, and, on the other hand, how many people act surprised and/or let down when the person they date turns out to really be Jewish.
“Anyway, I called up (the dating service) one night and got somebody on the phone and acted like the guy I’d met online had just raped me. I said it was so awful that I couldn’t remember his name. And the worst part was that he wasn’t even Jewish.”
