LONDON—For newly-minted loyal British subject Scarlett Revell, saving the good name of former Royal Highnesses Harry and Meghan Markle from opportunistic pornographers is personal. That is why she has purchased, parked, and locked the domain SussexRoyalPorn.com.
“I am also an American who fell in love and moved to the U.K., just like Meghan Markle,” the former New Yorker-turned-glamcore director says. “I don’t want to see her new adventure tainted by porn poachers.”
Revell, whose London-based company has been nominated for numerous adult industry awards for films like “The Headmistress And the Harlots” and “I Am Sex,” purchased and locked SussexRoyalPorn.com when Prince Harry and Markle, styled the Duchess of Sussex, announced plans to step back from senior royal duties.
“The vultures are already moving in,” says ScarlettRevell.com partner and fellow director Gazzman. “Within hours of Meghan and Harry’s announcement, there were people filing ‘Sussex Royal’ trademark applications with the European Intellectual Property Council. As a native Scot, I may have my problems with the royal family, but I’ve got a soft spot for Meghan and Harry and don’t want to see porn parodies cheapening them.”
This is not the first time Revell and Gazzman have brushed the royals. Their “Young Harlots” and immersive Porn Week events have often shot in the same Portland Place, London home that was featured in the Academy Award-winning film “The King’s Speech.”
“I wish Meghan and Harry the best in their new lives,” says Revell. “She is a beautiful person, and I’ve got her back.”
