Nick Manning, for better or worse, embodies all the triumphs and pathos of the male porn star existence because, more than anyone, he owns it. In the perennially-in-production documentary “Nick Manning: Hung, Hard, & High,” Manning delivers brutal honesty with a charm that is hard to define.
Filmmakers Justin Kane (who met Manning when he cast the veteran porner as Gashton Kutcher in “Spunk’d”) and Charles Barker have spent the last two years working on this movie, which now includes home video footage of the infant Manning being delivered to his mother by a nurse, and the toddler Manning with his father, who looks very much like him.

Jack Lawrence, a porn dude who always gives credit where it’s due, recounted a bit of advice Manning gave Lawrence when the latter was new:
“If you think you’re going to come,” Manning said, “Just fuck your way through it, as hard as you can, and then you won’t.”
Just fuck your way through it.
That is some advice I have taken to heart, often replacing “fuck” with “type,” “pedal,” “shoot,” or “drink.” Think about what you can learn from Nick Manning!
