Archvixen Jamye Waxman launches “Sexy Tales And Other Intimate Acts,” a salon featuring erotic raconteurs, musical acts, hula hoopists, buxom and lube-dispensing cigarette girls, and depraved pornographers November 17 at Sunset Boulevard’s famed El Cid.
“This event has a little bit of everything for the erotically entertainable,” said Waxman, looking deep in my eyes and tapping out the word “frenulum” on my thigh in Morse Code. “But the main goal is to have fun. Because if you’re not having fun, why do it?”
I agree. It is only when I learned that blood rushes down when a woman laughs that I started getting any action at all.
There has been an explosion of “erotic readings” series lately, but the fact that this one is in D.W. Griffith’s famed El Cid (the director of “Birth of a Nation” opened the club in 1900) and includes people who don’t just read about things sets it apart.
Says Waxman:
In addition to tales of working in the adult industry, trans performance artist Morty Diamond will show his Tranny Triptych and America’s beloved Porn Journalist, Gram Ponante, will play music with his band Fogelfoot. Plus Venice’s own Freddy and Eddy will offer couples advice on how to choose good porn, and the Erotic Rock star, Destin Gerek, will perform a lap dance for one lucky audience member. All the while Waxman will educate and entertain between acts. Sliquid will be providing free lube and there will be other sexy samples doled out by porn star performers Kelly Shibari and April Flores. Plus, a sex toy raffle and the intimacy couch will be photographing couples that choose to get a little frisky during the show.
That’s right; I will unhook myself from my erotic iron lung just to attend the performance.
