Mini-review: Slam It In A Young Whore

It’s hard to explain. I like a little brutality in my personal life but it’s not fun watching anyone else do it. I suppose if Priva were there in my bathroom, one of the first things to cross my mind would be to dunk her in the tub a few times (which is what happens in the European version of this movie, said director Dave West, but which had to be cut out for the tamer American version.)

That’s not to say this film is tame.

The most playful thing about the movie Slam It In A Young Whore is its title. From the beginning, in which Alexis Texas is unloaded, bound, from a van in the dock of a downtown L.A.warehouse, straight through a not-surprisingly dark scene with Sasha Grey, to Keisha’s finale, in which she is as indifferent and coarse as any street hooker, Slam It is almost clinical in its humorlessness.

That’s not to say that the movie mightn’t be just what some fans need. We hear every choke, every gasp, see every bit of evidence of the man’s exertions and the woman’s pain. You just want the girl to turn to the camera now and then and say, “This is awesome!”
