Show a porn star you love her—with cash and gifts!

Naughty Wishlists is a convenient way for you to show the porn girls you are platonically stalking that you love them; with items from their Amazon, Stcokroom, or Adam & Eve wishlists.

If you are unaware of the wishlist phenomenon in the Porno-American community—as I was until a few months ago—let me tell you a little about it.

Porn performers, but usually those in the web and BDSM side of things, have always had a way for you to give them gifts, from PayPal donations to items from their Amazon wishlists. But in recent months hundreds of our nation’s best-known porn stars have been either quietly or relentlessly making public their wishlists via Twitter and other social media.

Pete Housely, founder of Twitter post aggregator Naughty Tweet, added a beta version of Naughty Wishlist to his domain portfolio this week.

“The site is integrated with the rest of the network and is closely tied to Social Media,” said Housely. “9Naughty Wishlists) is a great safe way to send your favorite adult stars presents the whole year through – but they especially love them around the holidays.”

I’ve reluctantly embraced Twitter this year, and many of the hundred or so people I follow make regular reference to their Amazon wishlists. For example, Ava Rose solicited a pair of booties for her newborn baby, and got them within days of his birth.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to ask two performers about their wishlist etiquette and I got two wildly different responses. I didn’t have my notebook with me but the conversations went like this:

Performer 1

Gram: What’s the coolest thing you ever got from your wishlist from a fan?

She: I now have two iPads and I get a lot of clothes.

Gram: Who are these people?

She: Guys. Married guys…lots of guys. Some I talk with a lot. One guy got a girlfriend recently, though, and he doesn’t send me stuff anymore.

Gram: And they spend a lot of money?

She: Holy shit, yeah.

Gram: And how do you acknowledge them?

She: I’ll tweet my thank yous to them.

Gram: You don’t send them cakes or anything?

She: No way. That would take up all my time.

Performer 2

She: I get a lot of clothes

Gram: What do you do to acknowledge these guys?

She: Two days every month I spend taking pictures of myself in their gifts and sending them little care packages. I buy my movies at a discount and send them one along with the pictures and an autograph. Little stuff like that.

In an economy in which no one but Sasha Grey sees residuals for her work, the pornstar wishlist is a great way for performers to cash in on their fans’ admiration and give fans the chance to connect on a deeper—but just as superficial—level.

In case performers want to direct their fans’ largesse at a worthy cause that doesn’t require Manolo Blahniks, Naughty Wishlists will also have a Charity section.

“We wanted to make sure that Charities are properly represented at this time of year and in an economy still struggling to recover,” Housely said.

The site currently has about 50 porn star wishlists listed, including those of Andy San Dimas, London Keyes, and Kayden Kross. The site makes a small commission from affiliate sales and, with more and more performers adding their names, those Amazon pennies could add up.

  1. Like I mentioned the other day on the Twitter (I’m EvilNinjaX24), the whole thing has become a tad… irksome. Hell, I don’t think I’ve pimped my own Amazon wish list in the five or more years it’s been active IN those five years nearly as much as some pornsters do in a single day (slight exaggeration – let’s say “two” days). Sure, it’s all fine and dandy to ask for stuff, but only to a point. I’m not going to be crass and say “Get a real job and buy your own shit!” but, seriously – constantly mentioning it just causes me to be irked at the whole process.

  2. I’d assumed there was some quid pro quo going on here. I can’t imagine doing so otherwise in a million years (heck, I can’t imagine doing so at all, for porn stars or random bloggers or twitterers or porn chicks or whoever, but who am I to judge).

  3. Sorry for the double post, but I just noticed something worth mentioning.
First off, Naughty Wish Lists clearly ripped off my idea. I know this because soon after I started the Porn Star Gifts feature, there was a discussion in the XBIZ forums about new ideas. I actually believe that it was the Porn Star Tweet Guy/Concept Thief who actually started the thread by asking if anyone had new ideas.
I’m normally paranoid about revealing any of my plans and/or concepts because of the cutthroat nature of the business, but I guess I was feeling generous with my brain that day, and decided to post about the new feature.
Sure enough, Naughty Gifts is launched and I find out about it through an XBIZ press release. I was annoyed, but felt that it served me right for opening my big mouth. I even understand why he would have the audacity to do something like that b/c at least 9 out of 10 new webmasters would not learn of his actions. Either because they gave up or because they are on webmaster boards instead of industry boards. He basically took a calculated risk.
He would have gotten away it too. I would have let him get away with it because doing the feature was time consuming and did not yield much revenue.
Unfortunately for him, I just changed my mind and here’s why.
Having launched my feature in early or mid November, I knew that many of these girls had their own Amazon affiliate codes attached to their gift lists. A smart move on their part with the decreased revenue in the industry. In looking at the Naughty Gifts website and clicking on some of the wish lists, I noticed that he had placed his own Amazon affiliate code on all of them. What a greedy, greedy cunt. These girls work hard to give us a good product to promote and hopefully profit from and this cocksucker has the audacity to not only openly steal my idea, but to nickle and dime the girls in the hope he makes a few bucks on Amazon sales. Unfuckingbelievable.
To this day, I have not done one shady thing since starting my website because that’s just the way I like to do things. But that doesn’t mean I can’t get dirty when need be and this idiot just gave me the keys to his pig sty. With that, I’d like to publicly announce that I will be taking generously from as many porn star bios on Porn Star Tweet as humanly possible until he sends out an XBIZ press release in which he apologizes for being a greedy scumbag.

    Cheers,
    The 1 in 10

  4. Great story. I just had my first fan ask me where my Amazon wishlist was! If I make one, does that mean I am a real pornstar now, and not just a pretend one?
