“American Bukkake” Turns 40, Stomachs

Studio: JM Productions
Director: Jim Powers
Starring: Ashley Coda, Beverly Hills, Various Gentlemen

“I love making a guy come,” says Ashley Coda hours before she does it to a roomful of gentlemen in “American Bukkake 40.” “I could do it all day.”

And, perhaps if this were a sweeps week documentary, we would then cut to the post-Bukkake coda of Coda leaving the porn industry, hopping a taxi to Shelly Lubben’s house, wiping away tears and semen.

But neither Coda nor equally juicy Beverly Hills seems to be any the worse for wear after the the select several dozen “Bukkake Boys,” men who signed up via an actual Porn Valley telephone number, unloaded weeks or hours worth of children on the two young women.

“American Bukkake” – and rightly so – is the series that is most often used as a reference point for academics and other Thoughtful People who want to explain porn to themselves or to us. The problem is, none of the people who called the Bukakke Hotline or the women who act as the day’s bukkake surfaces seem keen on the same analysis, especially since the job at hand requires so much conversation and towels.

But what must be going through their minds?

Not too much. Beverly Hills actually falls asleep.

If there has been any harm in “American Bukkake”s present or past, the damage has already been done. What unfolds on screen is nothing more than the standard porn scene, except with less warmth and way more loads.
