When James Deen’s ex-babysitter and her husband return from England, the reunion is tinged with danger because, while Naomi Banxxx was babysitting young James all those years ago, his mother was banging Naomi’s husband.

Filled with betrayal and hurt feelings, “My Mother’s Best Friend 2” is a surprisingly complex and believable movie written and directed by Nica Noelle. If occasionally the camera work and acting descend into the murkiness of soap operas, it is still a mature porn movie that should appeal to couples and resonate with porn fans who like good storytelling.
Director Noelle gives James Deen an actual conflict when he is faced with his over-aggressive and marriage-minded Kewpie doll girlfriend (Tiffany Tyler) or a fling with Banxxx, whose husband has just jumped back in the sack with Deen’s mom, Zoey Holloway.
Noelle also films something that I have never seen before in a porn movie (or in real life): After Deen has blown his load on Banxxx, he eats her out. It is as if he is concerned about her pleasure.
That the two older women find out about the other’s dalliances and how they resolve their anger is a great bonus; it underlines the fact that we really can fuck our way out of problems that were caused by fucking.
It’s difficult to watch this movie because it is filmed in the fraught, deadened tones of a soap opera; we hear the rustling of clothes as well as each clack of a high heel on the floor; we watch each character’s lingering, stolen look at his or her object of affection. In other words, this movie is great if you like soap operas, but I don’t.
But I do like Nyomi Banxxx’s plan to ease her own pain and watching how she and Holloway execute it, even if I would have preferred to see those sadder-but-wiser actresses really let loose.
