“Octomom” Nadya Suleman, who has missed several payments on her home and who is facing foreclosure if she doesn’t produce upwards of $400k by March 23, has remained Octo-mum on Vivid’s latest offer “to save her home from foreclosure if she signs a movie contract.”
Vivid has been pursuing Suleman like a purring predatory pimp for more than a year, and Suleman’s lack of response to the company has not reduced its output of press releases.
Suleman’s landlord in the L.A. suburb of La Habra, Amer Haddadin, said that he “stepped up” and carried the home loan when Suleman gave birth to octuplets last year, giving Suleman’s father, in whose name Suleman’s family leases the house, a year to come up with a substantial down payment.
Now Haddadin, who describes himself as the Suleman children’s “savior,” says the family, particularly Suleman’s father, has not cooperated.
While Vivid has not said how it would “help” Suleman with her foreclosure, it did extend an offer that, if the 14-time MILF would only agree to shoot movies for the company, would be the envy of many porn stars, according to Vivid co-founder Steve Hirsch.
Hirsch said that he will assure Suleman that she will be supported by top hair and makeup artists and will look glamorous. As is customary with the Vivid Girls, she will have her choice of partners. “We can also schedule production so that it will take less than a week in the L.A. area. That way she can be with her children every night,” he said.
Vivid is as much a publicity company as it is a porn company these days and, while you may dismiss this “press release” as just another empty gesture sufficient only to grab headlines, it does speak a general truth about the porn industry:
Though many people get into porn because they find the idea of it thrilling, the “gun to the head” that compels others is often dire economic need.
And if that is the case, Vivid should buy Suleman the home outright. Her first scene might include fucking the locksmith who delivers the new housekeys.

I’ve seen a lot of tasteless things in this business, but this is the tackiest.
Unemployment and the threat of being homeless is a source of real anxiety, especially in the last few years. This is obviously not the case for Steve Hirsch — but making this sort of proposition to someone who may be on the street in 48 hours reinforces every slimeball stereotype people have of this industry.
I never thought I’d ever feel sorry for this trainwreck of a mother, but Vivid’s new publicity strategy seems to be to go for lowest ground — like mud. Considering that Vivid made so much noise about being the primary engine of the mainstreaming of the adult business, this act will be an indelible strike on the industry as a whole for any real acceptance.
Nice going, Vivid — stay classy.
