In the way that “Barely Legal” is not, there is a sameness about the Shane’s World series that is comforting; we know that young women, in the full flower of knowing just how hot they are, will be jetted off to a location whose history means nothing to them, where they will intrigue the locals but only fuck each other.

In “Shane’s World 42,” Tori Black is whisked off to St. Maarten where she parties it up with lesser-known but equally-if-not-more party-hardy Brooklyn Lee and Vanessa Cage. Michael Vegas and Johnny Castle come along, very much aware of their great luck, especially now that Jack Venice is too old. (That last part was weird to write.)
The “Shane’s World” series is a travelogue, and most every installment has its shot of hot girls falling out of their sundresses (or parkas, depending), filling up shopping carts with Pop Tarts and alcohol. This has been true ever since the series was invented in 1564, and isn’t different here. Vanessa Cage is delighted that the drinking age is lower in this Dutch Protectorate, and she plans to take full advantage of it.
There is an interesting and comfortable dynamic that emerges in the movie. Vegas and Castle are just happy to be there, and the boisterous Lee and Cage play willing second fiddles to the comparatively more elegant porn superstar, Tori Black. But there are no status games that they play with one another; you really get the impression that each of the five is enjoying his/her time away from Porn Valley—I know that it looked fun to me.
We follow the peripatetic coupling in and out of pools, with night vision cameras, on beaches and boats, and are witness to several great lines, like when Vegas inadvertently comes in Cage’s eye.
“Your sperm tried to make my eye pregnant,” she says. “I don’t want no eye babies.”
And that is what it says, in Dutch and French, on the St. Maartens flag.
