Alexis Ford and gloryhole "Improvement"

Of course Anthony Rosano as Jim the Tool guy wants to have sex with Tool Bunny Alexis Ford. But what makes “Home Improvement XXX” interesting is how that happens, as well as the ingenious way it handles the dude on the other side of the fence.

“Home Improvement” originally starred Tim Allen and Pamela Anderson as host and eye candy, respectively, of a handyman-oriented TV show. The ambitious show-within-a-show in the porn version involves sex with tool groupies and Rosano’s own fantasies about Ford, which come to fruition within the sacred bonds of his marriage to Syren de Mer.

Incorporating excellent set design and the game performances of Rosano and India Summer, playing his wife’s best friend, “Home Improvement XXX” suffers from an overgenerous laugh track and a lot of awkwardness as some actors puzzle over the script, which thinks highly of them.

And Jay Ashley’s Sal reminds me of the unkempt line art guy in Alex Comfort’s “The Joy of Sex.”

Jim is suffering a marital slump as he ponders his mortality. His grown sons are back from school (extra opportunity for sex scenes with milves, girlfriends, etc.) and he is curious about lost opportunities. That his opportunity presents itself in the form of the juicy Alexis Ford is a satisfying moment, even if it should have been saved for the end of the movie.

Instead, Ford delivers a gloryhole blowjob to Randy Spears, who plays the mysterious other-side-of-the-fence neighbor Milson. This is, while a clever porny take on the show, not the climax it should be.

Directed with all the resources Adam & Eve would allot to him by David Lord, the DVD of “Home Improvement XXX” comes with a nine-inch ruler that is a nice touch.
