The 2012 Models Must Go: "Performers of the Year 2013"

I’m always sad when the new “Performers of the Year” rolls out. Even though Lexi Belle and Asa Akira carried over from “Performers of the Year 2012,” it makes me wonder if Kagney Linn Karter, Kristina Rose, Jayden Jaymes, and Gracie Glam are on a junk heap somewhere being crushed into cubes.

I have always been confused by Elegant Angel’s choice to release its “Performers of the Year” for the current year in January. It’s not like the 2013 Honda CR-V, in which the aerodynamic and sporty XUV is new for that model year; “Performers of the Year” implies that the rest of the year is cake, and these ladies have already won.

Asa Akira, Brooklyn Lee, Skin Diamond, Lexi Belle, Lily Carter, and Jada Stevens are this year’s “Performers,” and each looks great. Each sequence (including the wispy Carter’s first gangbang, in which each dude arrives in a uniform of black t-shirt and blue jeans) is introduced by a breezy-but-not-insubstantial interview, establishing each star as a person worthy of lots and lots of fans.

“It’s still sinking in that I’m Buttwoman,” says Jada Stevens, as if that qualified her for a slot at the Rose Parade. But when we think of how few Buttwomen/Buttwomans there’ve been compared to how many Rose Parades, why shouldn’t she feel like a goddamn princess?

“(Because of porn) I’m into a lot of things that I didn’t even know,” says Skin Diamond, and then she proceeds to show us some of those things.

It is Brooklyn Lee who is the odd man out in this movie, thoughtful in a simple summer dress.

“I try to forget about cameras as much as possible,” says Lee, “but I’m only human. Sometimes I forget to ‘open up’ (show her clinical parts) but it’s because I forgot the camera was there.”

Lee’s scene with Manuel Ferrara is excellent.

But the climax of the 2-disc set is Lily Carter’s 7-dude gangbang. No one holds back and we get the uncomfortable—now and then—feeling that this is the scene that was the most work for her. Or maybe not.

“Ever since I was really young, just before bedtime I’d think about being … taken advantage of,” she says.

As usual, Elegant Angel excels at presenting the marital act as a sunny, vigorous exercise preceded by just enough chatter to remind us that it’s the personalities that make the bodies all the more juicy.
